B-1886 carries MSN 22446, Line Number 519. The airframe was delivered new to China Airlines on April 17, 1981 as a Boeing 747-209B passenger variant, powered by Pratt & Whitney JT9D-7Q engines. The aircraft served China Airlines' long-haul routes through the 1980s and 1990s in the classic red-and-blue cheatline livery. In 1999, B-1886 was re-registered as B-18753 following conversion to freighter configuration for China Airlines Cargo, a transition that marked the end of its passenger service career. The model represents B-1886 in the original passenger livery period.

Livery & Visual Detail

The white fuselage carries the classic China Airlines cheatline: a narrow blue band at the top, a wider red band below, and a second narrow blue band beneath, running the full length of the fuselage from nose to tail. A thinner solid red stripe runs parallel below the main cheatline. Chinese characters reading "中華航空公司" and "CHINA AIRLINES" appear in blue above the cheatline on the forward fuselage. Registration B-1886 is visible in black below the cockpit. The vertical stabilizer is white with a Republic of China flag near the top, and the red-blue cheatline continues upward along its leading edge. The underside is silver-grey. Four engine nacelles are light grey.
