1:400 Diecast: Airbus Beluga A300-600ST F-GSTA No.1 "Proto Super Transporteur" (JC Wings LH4304C)

F-GSTA is the first of the five Airbus A300-600ST Beluga airframes ever built, carrying MSN 655. Delivered to Airbus Transport International on 25 October 1995 and designated the "Proto Super Transporteur," this aircraft entered service as the original replacement for the Aero Spacetrain Guppy fleet. F-GSTA operated continuously for more than 25 years before being placed in storage in April 2021 — the first of the Beluga fleet to be retired. It carried aircraft sections including A320 family fuselages and wing boxes between Airbus production sites across Europe throughout its service life.

Livery & Visual Detail

The model carries the classic Airbus Transport International livery: predominantly white upper fuselage and bulge section, with a dark navy blue undersection sweeping from the wing root to the tail. The vertical stabilizer features a dynamic pattern of concentric light-blue and grey curved lines against a navy base. "AIRBUS" appears in large bold blue capitals on the fuselage; "BELUGA" in black with an oversized initial B follows immediately. Registration F-GSTA and the number "1" on the tail cone are visible. The front cargo door is depicted in the open position with yellow-and-black hazard striping around the opening. No Sharklets — standard squared A300 wingtips. Two underwing engines. Landing gear deployed.

Released under JC Wings item LH4304C, this 1:400 diecast represents one of the most distinctive aircraft shapes in commercial aviation history. The massive upper-fuselage bulge is accurately moulded, measuring 14.04 cm length × 11.21 cm wingspan at scale. Only five Beluga ST aircraft were ever built; F-GSTA as the prototype is the founding airframe of that fleet.
