The aircraft arrived in Auckland in mid-October 2023 and entered Air New Zealand service in November 2023, initially assigned to a 3×-weekly Melbourne–Auckland–Houston Intercontinental route. At the time of this model's release, ZK-OKU operated in the "All White" colour scheme — the airline's stripped-back livery worn by aircraft serving as interim capacity additions — with Star Alliance alliance branding.
