1:200 Diecast: Continental Airlines Boeing 767-424ER N66051 "SkyTeam" Flaps Down (JC Wings LH2505A)
N66051 is Boeing 767-424ER MSN 29446, which first flew on August 12, 2000, and entered Continental Airlines service shortly after. The 767-400ER is the stretched, extended-range variant of the 767 family, distinguished by its raked wingtips and longer fuselage relative to the -300ER. Continental operated N66051 on trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific routes; following the 2010 merger with United Airlines, the aircraft transferred to United's fleet while retaining Continental's Continental livery through the integration period.
Livery & Visual Details
Continental's "Blue Skyway" scheme: white upper fuselage and lower-forward section separated from the gray belly by a thin gold-brown pinstripe. The vertical stabilizer is royal blue, carrying the Continental globe logo in gold-brown at center. "Continental" in blue script runs along the forward fuselage. The SkyTeam alliance roundel is visible on the rear fuselage—this aircraft was one of the Continental jets displaying the alliance mark. The registration N66051 and a small American flag appear near the rear cabin section. Raked wingtips (no winglets, correct for the 767-400ER). GE CF6-80C2B7F nacelles in light gray. Flaps fully extended in landing/takeoff configuration—all flap panels angled down, adding aerodynamic detail. Landing gear fully deployed.
Model Craft & Collectibility
LH2505A represents JC Wings' first 1:200 scale tooling of the Boeing 767-400ER—a new-tooling release, making it the first diecast model of this variant ever produced at this scale. The flaps-down configuration adds engineering complexity beyond standard static-pose molds. At 30.69 cm length and 25.96 cm wingspan, this 1:200 model commands substantial display presence. The 767-400ER served fewer than 50 aircraft with two operators (Continental/United and Delta), making it one of the rarest widebody variants in the Boeing catalog.
