VQ-BVC, MSN 44937 (Line 1496), first flew on 2 March 2014 and was delivered to Silk Way West Airlines on 29 August 2014 — the Azerbaijani cargo carrier's expanding 747-8F fleet serving intercontinental freight routes from Baku. Previously operated under the registration 4K-SW882, it acquired the VQ-BVC mark and became part of one of the few Boeing 747-8F fleets outside the major integrators. Four GEnx-2B67 engines power the type, with a maximum payload capacity of approximately 133 tonnes.

Livery & Visual Details

The model depicts Silk Way West's two-tone scheme: glossy white upper fuselage separated from the royal blue lower fuselage and entire vertical stabilizer by a sweeping cheatline that dips below the cockpit windows. "SILKWAY" appears in royal blue on the white upper fuselage forward of the wings, with "AZERBAIJANI CARGO" below in smaller text. A small flag of Azerbaijan — horizontal tricolour of blue, red, and green with a white crescent and eight-pointed star — is positioned near the cockpit. Registration "VQ-BVC" is in black on the rear upper fuselage. On the dark blue tail, a large white "SW" logo is centred. Each GEnx nacelle carries a matching white "SW" emblem. A light blue circular 10th-anniversary logo appears mid-fuselage. The nose cargo door panel line, characteristic of the 747-8F's hinged-nose freight loading capability, is accurately scribed.
