1:400 Diecast: Qantas Boeing 747-438 VH-OJB "Wunala Dreaming" Flaps Down (HX Models B616502F)

VH-OJB (MSN 24373) was delivered to Qantas in September 1989 and became the first aircraft to carry the legendary "Wunala Dreaming" livery when the scheme was unveiled in September 1994. The artwork — created by Yanyuwa people from the Gulf of Carpentaria — depicts ancestral kangaroos, fish, and natural forms in a rich red, ochre, orange, green, and blue palette across the full fuselage. "Wunala" translates as "kangaroo" in Yanyuwa language. VH-OJB wore the scheme until March 2003, after which the livery transferred to VH-OEJ. The airframe was later scrapped at Mojave.

Deep red fuselage base saturated with the Wunala Dreaming motifs: kangaroo silhouettes, concentric circles, lizards, snakes, fish, and Dreamtime dot-work in orange, yellow, green, and cream across the entire cabin skin. "QANTAS" in white on the forward lower fuselage. Standard Qantas red kangaroo tail. Flaps fully extended. Rolling gear deployed. CF6-80C2B1F turbofans in gray nacelles visible under both wings and inboard of the fuselage.

HX Models B616502F is the flaps-down version, pairing with B616502 (Interactive Series) for complete VH-OJB display sets. Diecast metal. "Wunala Dreaming" is routinely cited as one of the most reproduced special liveries in 1:400 diecast history; this HX Models release brings updated mold accuracy and sharper livery printing compared to earlier Phoenix and Gemini Jets editions.
