B-2174 (MSN 48498) was delivered to China Eastern Airlines on 16 December 1992 as one of five MD-11F freighters the carrier operated out of Shanghai. In September 2005 the airframe transferred to China Cargo Airlines, where it continued flying until withdrawn. The MD-11F trijet — distinguishable from passenger MD-11s by its reinforced cargo floor and repositioned engine pods — carried China Eastern's freight network across the Pacific to Los Angeles and Seattle through the 1990s and into the mid-2000s.

Livery & Visual Details

The model reproduces China Eastern's classic pre-merger livery: white fuselage with red, blue, and gold triple cheatlines running the full length of the cabin. "CHINA EASTERN" appears in blue on the forward fuselage alongside Chinese characters reading "China Eastern Airlines." The upper engine nacelle carries "CARGO" in bold black.
