B-LJB was among the first Boeing 747-8 Freighters delivered to Cathay Pacific Cargo, arriving in November 2011 as part of the carrier's initial 747-8F intake — making it one of the earliest GEnx-powered 747s in commercial freight service. The 747-867F variant that Cathay ordered carries a maximum payload of around 137 tonnes and is powered by four General Electric GEnx-2B67 engines. Cathay Pacific Cargo became the second 747-8F operator in the world when B-LJB and its sister aircraft entered the Hong Kong–based network. The aircraft remains active today as a core asset of what is now branded Cathay Cargo.

Livery & Visual Details

The model displays Cathay Pacific Cargo's livery from the B-LJB delivery era: a white fuselage with "CATHAY PACIFIC CARGO" printed in dark green or dark grey on the forward upper fuselage, underlined by a red decorative swoosh. The vertical stabilizer is white, carrying the carrier's green "Brushwing" — the abstract wing-form logo — as the dominant design element, with a thin red stripe along the fin's leading edge and top edge. The registration B-LJB appears in black on the rear fuselage below the horizontal stabilizer. Below the cockpit windows, a oneworld alliance logo is visible, along with small red rectangular decals identifying Haeco and HAESL maintenance relationships and a Swire group decal further aft. The four GEnx-2B67 engine nacelles are white, and the characteristic GEnx chevron exhaust nozzles are present at the rear of each nacelle. The upper forward fuselage shows the panel lines of the 747F's nose-loading door — a structural feature unique to the freighter variant that allows pallets to be loaded directly through the aircraft's nose. Wingtips are the raked style introduced on the 747-8 series.

Hogan item Y047 renders B-LJB in 1:400 diecast metal at 19.08 cm length. The 747-8F mold's nose door panel detail, GEnx chevron representation, and Brushwing livery decaling make this a strong display piece. The 747-8F production run was limited — Boeing delivered only 107 of the variant across all customers — giving any 747-8F model inherent rarity value compared to earlier 747 generations.
