1:400 Diecast: Royal Air Force Boeing E-7A Wedgetail AEW1 WT001 (Geminijets GMRAF150)

WT001 is the first Royal Air Force Boeing E-7A Wedgetail AEW Mk1, MSN 38633, Line No. 3329. Originally built as a Boeing 737-700 BBJ, the airframe was extensively converted by Boeing Defence Australia and STS Aviation Services for airborne early warning and control duties. WT001 departed Southend Airport in October 2024 wearing full RAF markings after painting at Satys Aircraft Livery — becoming the first E-7 delivered to the RAF under a program to replace the E-3D Sentry, which left RAF service in 2021. The RAF ordered three Wedgetail AEW1 aircraft; WT001 is the lead airframe and carries the numerical serial marking "01" on the tail fin.

Livery & Visual Detail

Uniform light matte grey over the entire airframe — fuselage, wings, nacelles, and the large dorsal Multi-Role Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) radar rotodome. "ROYAL AIR FORCE" is printed in black on the upper forward fuselage, accompanied by a small St. George's Cross flag. The RAF roundel (red/white/blue concentric rings) is reproduced on the wings and tail. The tail fin shows "01" in black with a stylized squadron emblem. Multiple small white antenna fairings line the upper fuselage spine fore and aft of the rotodome support pylons. The E-7A rotodome is the defining visual element: a large flat rectangular radome mounted on two pylons above the rear fuselage, housing the electronically scanned 360-degree surveillance radar. Standard tapered wingtips without winglets. Twin CFM56 turbofans.
