VH-X4B is an Airbus A220-300 (BD-500-1A11), MSN 55269, delivered to National Jet Systems operating as QantasLink. The ferry routing ran YMX–YVR–HNL–NAN–CBR from 19 to 23 January 2024, with revenue service commencing 1 March 2024. The aircraft carries the nickname "Koala" — the name assigned at delivery. VH-X4B is among the earliest A220-300s in Qantas Group service as the airline builds out A220 capacity for regional routes previously served by Q400s and 717s.

Livery & Visual Details

The model presents the standard QantasLink livery: white fuselage with "QANTASLINK" in black and red lettering on the forward fuselage — "QANTAS" in black, "LINK" in red. The vertical stabilizer is bright red, carrying the iconic Qantas flying kangaroo in white. Wingtips are upturned and painted red at the leading edge, a defining visual of the A220 family. Each engine nacelle carries a small red Qantas flying kangaroo on the cowl. An Australian flag is visible on the aft fuselage adjacent to the registration. Landing gear is deployed. The registration VH-X4B is legible on the aft fuselage.
