HL8598 is Korean Air's first Airbus A350-941, carrying MSN 689. The aircraft flew its maiden flight under test registration F-WZNE on 4 December 2024 at Toulouse, then ferried Toulouse–Busan on 27–28 December 2024 for repainting, before being formally delivered to Korean Air on arrival at Gimpo in January 2025. Korean Air entered service with the type on 27 January 2025, deploying HL8598 on routes across its international network. The A350-941 is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 turbofans.

Livery & Visual Details

Full Korean Air sky-blue livery: the entire fuselage is rendered in a distinctive medium blue, lighter on the lower surfaces. "KOREAN AIR" titles in deep navy blue on the cabin. The tail carries the Taeguk (yin-yang circle) logo in red and dark blue. Raked wingtips (A350-900 standard configuration, no winglets). Flaps deployed to approach position — the "Flaps Down" variant captures a landing configuration unique to this release. Gear down, static display.

The flaps-down configuration adds aerodynamic detail not present in clean-wing releases: extended leading-edge slats and trailing-edge flaps are accurately modelled.
