The Goldhofer AST-1 is a towbarless aircraft tug capable of handling widebody jets up to 300 tonnes. Fantasy Wings replicates it in 1:200 scale under item number FWDP-PB-2025. The real AST-1 captures the aircraft nose gear directly into its cradle, eliminating the need for a tow bar — hence "towbarless." At airports worldwide, the AST-1 family handles everything from narrow-body A320s to 747-400s. The model ships pre-painted and pre-assembled, ready to complement any 1:200 apron or hangar diorama. Material: diecast metal.

Visual Details

Fantasy Wings renders the characteristic ultra-low-profile silhouette faithfully: a wide, flat rectangular body with an elevated cab section flanked by long engine / equipment compartments. The livery is white on cab upper surfaces and equipment bay panels, with dark grey lower chassis and roof. "Goldhofer" lettering in black appears on the cab front (above and below the windshield) and on the side panels of both equipment bays. Yellow-and-black diagonal hazard stripes mark the front bumper. Two orange rotating beacon lights sit on the cab roof. Clear cab windows with no interior figures. No airline livery — generic manufacturer's branding.
