N66733, construction number 20662, is a Boeing 727-224 Advanced delivered to Continental Airlines on 7 October 1974. It served Continental's domestic network for two decades before leaving the fleet to Express One in 1994 and then Champion Air in 1995, where it was reregistered N707CA. The 727-224/Adv represents Continental's final-generation trijet order, the Advanced variant with improved JT8D engines and aerodynamic refinements over the base 727-200.

Livery & Visual Details

The model captures Continental's "Golden Jet" livery — in use from the mid-1960s through the mid-1970s. The vertical stabilizer is metallic gold; a multi-stripe cheatline runs the fuselage length: thin dark maroon on top, broad gold stripe with window cut-outs in the centre, and thin dark maroon below.
